Save the Date for Millis Garden Club’s Annual Greens Sale and Wreath Raffle

Millis, Mass. On Saturday, December 2, 2006, from 10 am – 4 pm, The Millis Garden Club will hold their one-day only Annual Greens Sale and Wreath Raffle at Veterans Memorial Building, 900 Main Street (Route 109), Millis, MA. This is the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds benefit civic beautification projects in the Town of Millis. Free admission and open to the public.

Come early and shop for holiday decorations and gifts, all handmade by Members of the Millis Garden Club. We’ll be offering beautifully decorated fresh and fragrant balsam wreaths; festive holiday centerpieces filled with freshly cut greens, pinecones and adornments; holiday pine cone topiaries; botanical decorated gift boxes; holiday blooming bulbs in decorative containers; and pine cone fire starters. Holiday cards by Millis Artist Jeanne Maier will also be available for sale, featuring Oak Grove Farm House at the Holidays. Arrive early for the best selection, as quantity is limited. Announcing the return of the Wreath Raffle, held concurrently with the Annual Greens Sale Fundraiser. Take a chance to win one of 13 beautifully and uniquely decorated wreaths made and donated by creative and generous individuals, including Jeanne Maier, Sue Gilkey, Janet Yered, Kathleen Pueschel, Jen McPhee, Chris Gavin, Nancy Gustafson, Diane Hubbard, Patty Breen, Debbie Lane Lesbirel, The A-Team with Team Leader Anne Strickland, and Millis 7th Grade Girl Scout Troop #4944. Tickets for the Wreath Raffle sold only during the Annual Greens Sale. Buy 2 raffle tickets for $5; 5 tickets for $10; or 10 tickets for $15. Winners will be announced at VMB on Saturday, December 2 at 4:15 pm and will be posted on www.millisgardenclub.org. Winners need not be present to win. Wreaths can be delivered within 10 miles of Millis or other arrangements can be made.

Special holiday treats will be sold throughout the day. Delicious and gorgeous holiday
cookies, made by some of Millis’ talented bakers, can be enjoyed with mulled apple cider and hot cocoa, or purchased for gifts.
